Warm Stewed Apple Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 serving of oatmeal (made as per your usual recipe)

  • 1/4 cup pecans, chopped


Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine chopped apples, cinnamon, maple syrup, and water.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples soften and the liquid thickens (about 10 minutes).

  3. While the apples are cooking, prepare your oatmeal according to package instructions.

  4. Spoon the stewed apples over the oatmeal and top with chopped pecans.
